Not all antique collectors are alike since not all
antiques are alike. A person may collect antique dolls, but want
nothing to do with antique games or furniture. So the first rule for
purchasing something for the collector of antiques is to know what type of
antiques they like. Secondly, you either need to do some research on
that particular genre or purchase from a reputable dealer who can be
trusted. Thirdly, if something is truly an antique, the recipient
will love it - even in the remote possibility that you get them a
duplicate item they already have in their collection.
